October 30, 2002 at 7:20 am #1061165Anonymous….. know what u mean klark-
waaaay back when I did drugs, this kid sold me acid REALLY cheap so I bought a bunch.
Guess what it turned out 2 be……
………. ……..
……………CONSTRUCTION PAPER!!!!!……
how bout people that sell liquid outta the eyedrop bottle & do nuthin but give you a few dropsa ‘SweetBreath’ mouth freshener- then by the time u realize u’ve been had, that kid has ducked out & left the party ’cause hey, he paid $25 to get in, made his money back like 4-5 times over… and then dipped out like a little bitch….
one of the many many reasons I dont do shit anymore…..
oh- but I do like to smoke…… I LUVS my green….lolOctober 30, 2002 at 7:45 am #1061166AnonymousI understand but quite frankly I’d rather get ripped off completely than sold some nasty pseudo drug (DXM, PCP, MDx, etc…). Governements assert that taking drugs is dangerous because the quality of the drugs you’re taking varies so much. But it’s precisely because of prohibition that quality varies. Good quality drugs are a lot less bad for you than the bad. If only they’d stop being so stubborn, accept they can’t control those who won’t be told and decriminalise everything… NOW! Drug users should be managed under the auspices of the health service, not the legal system. I want to buy my drugs from a chemist on the high street, not some shady character!
blah blah blah…

worth a look,if only to see that politics gets into everything!October 30, 2002 at 5:03 pm #1061167AnonymousNomad,
I don’t see a connection. How does that article relate to what were talking about?
October 31, 2002 at 1:47 am #1061168Anonymous…. heres a thought- they would never be able 2 regulate drugs if they were legal—- think: tobacco & alcohol are legal, right? well- its still ILLEGAL if u brew your own moonshine & I dont think anyone grows their own tobacco….
Its all about taxes I think….
& besides, my gov’t (USA) is corrupt & probably makes more money off (for example) cocaine from south america than they would EVER make imposing a ‘cocaine tax’….
if that did not all fit 2gether, pardon me….
its been a LOOOOOONG day!October 31, 2002 at 3:41 am #1061170Ok Lady Luck-think about it this way,the three scientists mentioned in the above link are producing research data that is inconsistant with the “party-line” so to speak. It goes against the same old crap that our goverments never tire of hitting us with-that E is bad for you full stop,i doubt if any of the three will have similar research funded in the future!(i have a link somewhere to an article that claims funding is being “channeled in politically correct ways)
By funding research that backs up the govt line and advertising this in certain ways(govt funded adverts, publications etc),a seemingly strong argument can be created that the powers that be are winning the war on drugs, educating youngsters etc-basically we are all being ripped off by our respective goverments as they dont deal in the real facts of ecstasy use, abuse, manufacture or repercussions.
Think how many votes would be lost if any political party said “ok here are the real facts on drugs in this country and heres what we intend to do about it-drug abuse to be managed medically and socially instead of through the courts,we wont lock up junkies-well give em help in a socially aware context, not just throw more drugs at them etc etc” the middle classes who vote for these people, partly because they are “tough on crime, tough on the causes of crime”would desert them in droves, political suicide
Obviously this applies to a lot more drugs than just ecstasy
Like you i hate being ripped off on street level-all i’m saying is that it doesn’t stop there! -
