Is that you spitting out a mouthfull of vintage merlot in your avitar?
November 25, 2010 at 6:20 pm #1230727I like red wine but dont know enough about it and can never afford a nice one. And it gives me heartburn 🙁
November 26, 2010 at 10:59 am #1230717I don’t believe the shite they say about wine. For me there is either a good or bad.
Most wines you buy in supermarkets taste foul and are over priced. I prefer reds to whites. But I can’t drink very much wine. After one glass I go bright red and feel very drunk

That is not true supermarkets have brought good affordable wine to the masses. You can get good cheap stuff from them you just need to know a little about wine.
November 26, 2010 at 11:12 am #1230718Maybe I am just fussy. But without paying over £8 I can’t find a decent red.
Which ones do you recommend?

Sadly its more my pairents that know what their talking about although I try a bit. Had a lovely red the other day “Côtes-du-Rhône-Villages Reserve 2001” from tesco, think it was £4.50.
I think it is hard to work out what to get but it is there if you do know. Best way is to drink a lot I guess lol
Crap red is horrible though isnt it, so acidic and sharp. As is bad white saying that but a red seems worse somehow.
November 26, 2010 at 11:44 am #1230719thanks I shall give it a go 🙂
November 26, 2010 at 12:26 pm #1230712This is a Mungo thread Wine doesn’t deserve a say!
