I cant get the RSS link to work…im using Firefox and the RSS logo doesnt come up where it should on the site.I also have an extension to add RSS feeds into Firefox from links and that doesnt work either.
Any ideas?
go into the bookmark manager on firefox
from the menu select
new livemark copy the URL for the 0.91 feed into the box where it says “feed location”
you end up with a folder icon and a + on the left – click on this and it will expand and shows links to all the new posts – its basically like a set of bookmarks in a folder but they are auto updated by the RSS feed
unfortunately you can’t export the live bookmarks (unless someone knows how) otherwise I’d have posted it here as an attachment… but what I have attached is a screenshot showing how I did it
Mind you the firefox docs mention some icon in the status bar which is presumably activated by some code on the hosted page and like you said that doesnt’ appear
RSS = Really simple syndication (US media term for transmitting content across more than one network)
its when you go on to a board and there is a box with headlines from somewhere else (anotehr message board or a news site) – you can then click on the headlines and go to the original site from whence they came.
BTW I’ve had the livebookmarks on partyvibe running for a week now on firefox without problems…
