This is something I noticed pretty quickly when I joined PV but only just got round to putting it into a thread for some reason. As the title suggests are we smarter than the average bear?
The reason I ask this is because there’s plenty of idiots in the world, Christ my home town is full of them. People will often state that intelligence is one of my most prominent traits, yet I don’t consider myself especially clever. I just believe many people around me are genuinely dim or have little interest in discovering the potential of their own IQ. I’m considered the most intellectual of my circle of friends yet I disagree; the rest of them (bar one) simply have little ambition to learn or expand themselves.
I read an interesting article a couple years back that claimed your average drug user (illegals) had a higher IQ than the average person who did not engage in such activities. I cannot remember where I saw this article otherwise I’d link it but the basis behind it was that those that wore the proverbial thinking cap all the time were used to being subject of ridicule and alienation from the majority. Therefore drug use was no biggie in that sense. Also the smarter guys and girls are more likely to understand the potential for drug use and the altered perceptions it brings to be a learning experience and not just fun or an excellent escape vessel from the irritating stupid people; though it does that too.
So what are everybody’s thoughts on this?

Yes, but some are more ignorant on a vaster array of topics.

Ok, let’s start with her fake persona, she reaches her dressing room, she asks the crew member “do you think it’ll be good?” He replies “I think it’ll be amazing”, “good I have that feeling”- almost as if its the first time she will take DMT and asking for reassurance. takes it off her HEAD and falls into some kind of dream world…
Now, she is in between a kind of gate, with 2 pillars, in islam this is a big symbol towards going to heaven or hell.
So she enters a HUGE maze, she’s lost and confused, she’s searching for something but doesn’t know what, walking through the darkness with just a lantern.
She stumbles across a fruit, a single fruit in the darkness (the forbidden fruit). She’s starting to feel claustrophobic and as soon as she bites it an overwhelming surge of POWER enters her body, suddenly her ‘soul’ shoots out from her chest and into the sky almost like her breakthrough has began, she is then confronted by an innocent young girl who is depicted later on as herself.
She walks into a Long corridor which had a checkered floor, in the illuminati/free masonary, this is the floor of the final stage to becoming a part of their cult. The girl is not visible in the mirror, she is a spirit/angel kind of entity. She looks in the mirror and the first photographer is some kind of demon, his face looks all burnt and distorted, more join him and are all taking pictures almost like dazzling and distracting her of what is to come, the girl notices it and gets her attention. Katy perry then proceeds to smash trough the glass (possible second breakthrough).
She becomes very ill, mentally and physically, being pushed by her angel in a wheel chair through a door in a hallway where she faces two demon looking guards, still in the process of holding the forbidden fruit. The girl advances and stands up to the demons, showing that no evil is as strong as any INNOCENCE AND PURITY. Katy perry is awakened from her ill minded state. They make it through the following door behind the demons, and they enter a kind of paradise after escaping what could have been her end and an almost mental asylum kind of place.
Once they enter the new world, you see this darkness all behind her, she made it out on the there side safe and sound, for now. She is then confronted by a charming man on a unicorn, a majestically beat, she is obviously lovestruck at first site (Russel brand) they are about to tie the bond (I think there is more to it than marriage) and she beats him down, while her surroundings have hypnotic eyes and trying to watch her and seemingly get her back. The girl is amazed in power in katy perry, they run to see the last stretch to paradise and high five for making it there, etc …
Now the lyrics I’m sure you can dissect yourself, let me just say “cloud nine” being your state while on dmt, because is it or not a feeling of complete bliss and amazingness? And she is now falling from that cloud into hell, which she fights through and makes t out better on the other side.
Now for the second video, its all about DMT, her being possessed, and helping a ‘psychonaught’ into her world.
I’m very very interested in what her upcoming albums/life will be like.
April 24, 2013 at 4:43 pm #1272280p0ly, you seem slightly obsessed with Lshak lol
April 24, 2013 at 4:49 pm #1272248The word ‘intelligent’ and ‘partyvibe members’ comes up. Lshak springs to mind just like Amyberthlet and manaman came to mind instantly. Lshak is just relevant whereas a lot of people won’t even know classic MENTAL christian Amy who spent 100,000 dollar inheritence money on crack cocaine smoked it all and then turned to JEBUS when she ran out of cash…. kinda like shakalaka, did psys, fucked his head, turned to islam. :p

Given the cost of TV evangelists, she might have actually got better value for money doing it that way round. Unlikely I guess. Ever thought of going into that line of work? Can pay pretty good.

Yep you’re right, never heard of Amy the crackstian. Bit harsh to say it ‘fucked his head’ in my opinion. I think he just found it all a bit overwhelmingly thought provocative. Can’t say I agree with how he interpreted the information but never mind. If he’s happier for it what business is it of hours.
April 24, 2013 at 5:53 pm #1272265I doubt we would score higher than average on IQ tests ( I wouldnt anyways, pretty average intel if Im honest ), BUT personality would probably show a difference, I’d say people here have a higher than average openness to new idea’s / trying new things and probably more likely to challenge preconceptions wanting to try & learn things for themselves rather than just believing what they’re told

Good point. By the way I’d say you’re a bit more ‘intelligent’ than the average person I know that doesn’t/hasn’t done drugs.
Maybe at this point I should point out and a lot of people don’t realise this but a high IQ doesn’t necessarily make you an intelligent person. Intelligence is gauged on how much a person knows whereas an IQ is a measure of one’s ability to learn. Now people with a high IQ generally are more intelligent than those with a lower IQ but you can have a lower IQ but be a keen learner, or you can have a high IQ but be disinterested in educating yourself.

I think I have a high(ish) IQ but i’m not very interested in learning.. well thats a lie I am interested in learning a lot of things, just not anything that will get me a job really. I love learning new things but it has to be what ‘I’ want to learn if that makes sense. I’ve always had an aptitude for spelling as well when I can be arsed, I could spell like any word even if i’d never seen it before from a young age haha.
To be honest I would say that everyone on here is fairly intelligent but I don’t know.

I’d say for your age mate you’re very wise. As with regards to learning a slightly negative trait I’ve noticed in you is that you’re very certain of your own views and opinions which can lead you to quickly dismissing other people’s information. However the positive spin on that is you’re less prone to indecisiveness like me. Or at least that’s how in I read you. Yeah spelling has always been a forte of mine too. I’ll make the odd grammatical error (probably far more than I realise but people don’t bring it to my attention:cry:) but rarely a spelling mistake. Unless I’m stoned then my brain has a remarkable ability to draw a total blank on an every day word lol.

You’ve managed to agree with me and disprove it all in one sentence. Well done lol.
April 24, 2013 at 6:56 pm #1272236I agree we seem to be able to shed light on lots of topics but I don’t see us being on QI any time soon.

Cheers man, a few people have said that to me before I guess its a good thing. Yeah i’m an opinionated wanker, I do try to take into account other peoples views (sometimes). Yeah i’m pretty poor at grammar when i’m stoned, otherwise i’m just average really.

Doublethink stylee
April 24, 2013 at 7:24 pm #1272320I agree with mezz, were more open minded so we question things and try to find out what’s between those lines rather than just accepting what were told and that’s it.
That’s just the kind of curious personalities we have, which will also be the reason why we experiment with drugs too.April 24, 2013 at 7:24 pm #1272341Taking it now.. i’ll include screenshot of results if its anything decent
April 24, 2013 at 7:26 pm #1272342This IQ test is hard while stoned

I would shave off at least 40 points because there’s no way I’m that smart. I can only numbers.
