The owner of a show-car which was stripped of its original parts worth £4,400 has offered a reward for details leading to the return of the items.
The man hopes a £100 reward will lead to information about his red Ford RS Escort which was parked in a garage at the Fairway, Banbury, Oxfordshire.

The thieves forced the garage door and cut the alarm wires over the weekend.

They stripped the car of its body kit, bumpers, alloy wheels, interior, seats, wheel arches and convertible roof.

Pc Bobby Nusspickel said: “The victim has been left very distressed by this incident.

“He had been working on this car for a long time, and was just putting the finishing touches to the vehicle when the burglary took place.

“The stolen goods are all specialist items, and I would ask that anyone who is offered similar-sounding Ford Escort parts in suspicious circumstances contacts us.”
