Hi Dr.B,
When I go to partyvibe.org with my preferred browser Konqueror, the page isn’t rendered with any formatting except the basic text H1 H2 etc. It seems that the BBS is serving browser dependent code and in particular browser dependent CSS but the latter isn’t always working. (btw this used to work OK until recently).
Amongst quite a number of HTML differences, Firefox gets CSS starting with “link rel=”stylesheet” type=”text/css” href=”clientscript/vbulletin_css/style00105l/”
Konqui gets CSS starting with “rel=”stylesheet” type=”text/css” href=”clientscript/vbulletin_css/style00075l/” which are all 404.
In fact when I download the Firefox page source to disk, Konqui seems to render it fine so i think if you can find the problem you can use the same CSS and probably JS for both.
HTH
Nick
October 19, 2013 at 2:17 am #1276042The other site’s fixed, I think this one is having the same problems now though. I’ve posted a msg to the Doc about it, as he’s fixed the other site already, I’m sure it’ll get sorted soon here as well.
October 19, 2013 at 2:26 am #1276054There was a problem with one of the plugins but I think it’s fixed now.
October 19, 2013 at 6:38 am #1276043I’m still getting the problems I mentioned to you on this site … I’ll upload a screen shot to the .org site so you can see.
October 19, 2013 at 8:02 am #1276055What browser are you using?
October 19, 2013 at 8:05 am #1276056Can you try changing styles?

Changing styles wasn’t working before, but it now seams to be be fixed and everything is looking/working as it should (it was Firefox just so you know).
October 19, 2013 at 8:24 am #1276045Now the .org site’s broke again for me lol!
I’m getting this now @ the .org site

It’s almost like the site’s trying to hold onto some settings of some-kind when viewing the second site so what ever one you fix the other one wont work properly as it’s trying to do something related to the other site?
October 19, 2013 at 8:48 am #1276057A plugin we’re using on both sites is mis-behaving on partyvibe.org only which is odd but I’ve disabled it now and the site should work for you. Sorry about this!
October 19, 2013 at 8:56 am #1276046The other site works now, but it’s buggered on this one again … >.<
October 19, 2013 at 8:57 am #1276047ok it just posted my last reply at the top of this thread!? …

event.layerX and event.layerY are broken and deprecated in WebKit. They will be removed from the engine in the near future.
October 19, 2013 at 9:03 am #1276059Is it just daft having this problem? Is anyone else out there seeing this as well?
October 19, 2013 at 9:12 am #1276060Please try it again now. Thanks!
October 19, 2013 at 9:12 am #1276061On both sites…

The problem keeps switching sites … when one is working the other isn’t, currently this one is working fine and my posts are now showing in the right place with everything as normal … .org is giving me a blank screen when I try to load it. What ever you’ve done to fix it on one site, shifts the problem (all be it a diferant problem that happens on each site, the same thing pretty much happens every time on each individual site though) to the other site.
October 19, 2013 at 9:24 am #1276062Any better now?

The last post is edited slightly to reflect what’s actually happening atm though.
October 19, 2013 at 9:37 am #1276063So it’s still not working on both right now?
October 19, 2013 at 9:47 am #1276051It’s always working on one or the other, but never both at the same time … atm this site works and the .org site is showing the screen shot I posted last. Mby it’s to do with the sites referencing the plug in from the same place on the server? Or having some shared file from a recent update causing it to behave like this?
October 19, 2013 at 9:48 am #1276064Can you clear you cache and reboot? Both sites work for me flawlessly on my phone and pc in all browsers…
October 19, 2013 at 9:50 am #1276052I’ve been trying that before, will give it another go.
October 19, 2013 at 9:52 am #1276053Sweet it’s working now.
