It’s been a right old mission, but i can now confirm that the castle party is definitely on! This time we’ve been in direct discussions with the licensing authorities (last time castle management insisted they’d do it- then didn’t) – we’ve been granted a temporary events notice and we’ve got a contract with the castle management confirming everything. It’s on!! This time we’ve got a bigger and better line up than before…
One of the most influential players in the dubstep scene, Mala, co-runs London’s legendary DMZ nights & label, alongside Coki & Loefah- and is half of the world’s top dubstep duo Digital Mystikz (along with Coki). DMZ is known as one of dubstep’s two most influential regular clubnights (the other being FWD>>). DMZ’s first anniversary (March 06), when a queue of 600 people forced the club to move from its regular 400-capacity space (3rd Base) to Brixton Mass’s main room, has been cited as a pivotal moment in dubstep’s history. It was at these nights that Mary Anne Hobbs discovered the sound, and has since been pushing dubstep on Radio 1.
The DMZ nights have been a platform for artists such as Skream, Kode 9, Benga, Pinch, DJ Youngsta, Hijak & Vex’d to showcase their tunes.

This man’s been responsible for iconic dubstep tracks ‘Lean Forward’, ‘Changes’, ‘Bury Da Bwoy’, ‘Left Leg Out’ and many more. We’re lucky enough to catch him shortly after touring Asia.
