Hello folks

It is my intention to have live music streamed on New Years Eve and New Years Day and I am hoping that others will join me in this mammoth broadcast :groucho:

The provisional broadcasting times are from 9 pm to 9pm including the overnight bit – if there are several of us up for it we might be able to go for longer :weee: [start earlier and finish later raaaraaa]

If you are interested in taking part then post to this thread to express an interest and some idea of when you would be capable of broadcasting and for how long :groucho: [if you plan to celebrate in serious style please ask for a radio slot before this happens….:weee:]

how easy is it to stream from your bedroom? i’ve a few mates who are up for shows at some point but theyre not sure how to set things up their end. any links to explanations?

The basic requirements are a broadband connection with at least a steady 256 Kbps upstream, a decent soundcard and some space on your harddisks to load the software and save the streams to. Oh and any cables you may require to connect whatever you are using to the computer :weee:

Right folks its booked into the calendar with outline times of 8.30pm NYE to midday the next day assuming we dont get utterly carried away with ourselves :laugh_at::laugh_at::laugh_at: and forget to stop..

So if you want to take part /listen you know roughly when we are broadcasting raaaraaaraaa

Anyone know if a high end pioneer mixer counts as a preamp (thereby connecting straight to my pc) or will i need to connect the mixer to my system in order to stream? Oh Dear these decks and mixer set ups are so quaint:laugh_at:
