September 19, 2012 at 8:03 am #1258088Try here; Styluses – Thomann UK Cyberstore
September 19, 2012 at 8:34 am #1258092not on there mate, but cheers anyway
can you get like compatible needles? rather than the actual brand ones?
as you can probably tell, im completely new to all this, so just trying to find out the basic atmSeptember 19, 2012 at 8:58 am #1258089yes they should have what you need there, they are probably better than the original…
I have trouble to find the deck in this database; Turntable Database | Vinyl Engine
You might need to find out more about it like full product info/specs
September 19, 2012 at 9:26 am #1258085A pic is below, I have encountered them in the past. unfortunately unless the design changed wildly in the 90s with a stronger motor, I would not even try and beat match on them, the motors do not have enough torque and run away on the speed control.
They are probably older than Norfolk-Partier! – even the belt drive versions (which I once had) were easier to work with. The headshell is a “standard” Asian design of hi fi turntables from the late 70s onwards. IT may have been delivered with any number of cheap magnetic cartridges for which the stylus may or may not be still produced.
you can get a new cartridge assembly like a stanton for them and fix it in the headshell. quite frankly (unless you can get a better set of decks and some of the technics competitors/replacements like Stanton or Vestax) I would suggest saving your pounds/euros up and going digital. you can at least still use one deck to transfer your existing vinyl on to the computer (only that one will need the new cartridge).
September 21, 2012 at 5:55 pm #1258093found one 😀
took the whole cartridge bit off and went and talked to the record shops, most were shut, one guy was a prick, but one guy opened up when he saw me looking disappointly at the closed sign and was a massive help, told me what one to get where to get it from and the cheapest price! much respect for that guy, and for you guys who helped too, cheers 🙂September 21, 2012 at 6:42 pm #1258086@norfolk-partier 496486 wrote:

and juno is where i found the cheapest stylus, great site, quick delivery (Y)September 22, 2012 at 8:26 am #1258091@norfolk; You should make take some pictures and note down every tech specs you have on your deck for the records and make profile on Turntable Database | Vinyl Engine and post the lot for the library…they sure want it. U just need to sign up on the site to get the tech upload link working.
September 23, 2012 at 9:47 pm #1258095i dont have a clue about any of the specs for it :/
i cant even use them, im currently attempting to learn beat-matching, however isnt going great :LSeptember 23, 2012 at 10:14 pm #1258087if you google for this there are loads of guides. but it is really like trying to ride a bicycle or driving a car, you practice and eventually it gets easier. at least if collide the beats its less painful or embarassing (apart from to the ears) than a collision on the road..
Actually the DL P1-R is the belt drive version and what I was using 20 years ago, mine came from the first pirate station I broadcast on in London as they decided it was getting too hot with the DTI and metpol and closed down (as the scene was getting mixed up with crime etc). it is just about possible to beat match on them but they can drift and you will have to keep correcting the mix..
