Easy party vibers..
Is anyone else on the site producing some fresh London Acid Techno? If so it’d be wicked to hear what people are coming up with, and to exchange some Techniques, etc!
darklight’s sounds on SoundCloud – Create, record and share your sounds for free This is my page if anyone’s interested in having a listen – A wee bit of acid and some percussive business on there too.

January 22, 2011 at 2:31 am #1234936Ello mate. Sounding good bud, liking all of those particularly the production on Newquay Techno 1.
What are you using for your 303 emulation? If it’s not already D16’s phoscyon then I’d recommend it. It’s a pain in the arse to program but it produces the best sound out of the emulators if you don’t want to fork out plenty of spondoolies for a TB.
How is Newquay treating you?
January 22, 2011 at 9:30 am #1234938Nice!
I am now following you (less sinister than it sounds!)

Cheers Ol 🙂 The Newquay Techno one is one of my most up to date ones. I’ve found that since setting sail for Cornwall I’ve removed all the mental baggage and other distractions that come with 20 years of living in the same place and my production’s come on a lot as a result. It’s amazing what a bit of focus can do!
Yeah I’m using Phoscyon – definately the best emulator I’ve used! But fingers crossed one day I’ll be able to get my hands on the real mcoy.. hardware heaven!
Newquay’s treating me well mate, the only problem with Cornwall (and it really is the only one!) is the lack of decent music. I find myself driving to Bristol to get a Techno fix, although that’s not such a bad thing!
How’s life with ye olde rig? I haven’t seen that badboy for a long time..
Also, I hear you have a bambino now, congratulations on that front my friend :bounce_g:
Cheers for following me Tek Tonic, I’ll check out what you’ve got up 🙂
January 22, 2011 at 2:11 pm #1234937That’s good to hear mate, I often wonder what a relocation would do for the brain and I’m glad it’s a positive one for you. Cornwall is a beautiful place though and if I did up sticks it’s one of the places I have in mind.
I made the effort to get back in to production the other day but it turns out my keyboard is shagged and I can’t be arsed drawing in notes so I’ll have to put it on hold for a bit.
Rig is doing nothing. Shame really. Keep thinking about just putting a night on for the hell of it and giving it an airing. No decent venues though.
Life is good mate, and yeah I have a little boy now (3 weeks old) which is part of the reason for life being so good at the mo. Looking forward to what’s to come too. Felt like my partying days were behind me a bit so it felt like the next stage of the life experience.
You’ll have to let me know next time you visit this end if you come up this way bud.
January 23, 2011 at 10:39 am #1234940It’s definately a postive one! I guess that it’s down to the fact that when I’m here I have no other distractions in life but my Uni work, Music Production and learning to play the Djembe; so it’s easy just to focus on the job in hand.
Better fix up your keyboard then! It’d be good to hear some Fresh Tunage from ya raaa
Big shame about the rig – it’s also a shame that something outdoors is such a hit and miss thing these days as it’d be great to finally hear it in the open! I’ve got a few questions about rigs actually – as my friend and I are in the (lengthy) procrastinatory stage of setting one up – but I’ll save that for another day, when I have a list assembled 😉
I’m glad you’re enjoying life as a dad.. I’d say there’s many more years of happiness to come your way 🙂

If you use cubase then Alt + K is your friend when lacking a Midi Controller 😉 (I assume you allready know this tho)

I’m an Ableton dude myself, so ‘keyboard controller’ is my trusty travel companion 😉

Yeah I really need to get one … atm I’m using a Roland MC-303 Groove Box as a Midi controller – It’s only got 1 octave and 4 extra notes (semi-tones at that) worth of keys! :laugh_at:
I’m gonna invest in this as soon as my redundancy pay comes through…
