everyoone i know has started to going to squat raves now, its become the in thing!
i don’t know how they all managed to find them so easily, one week they were neer at the bait ones ( the only ones i can still find) next week they were all there!
IT’s horrible for me, i don’t know why i can’t share and obsess about strange things such as this..
but me and my 4 or 5 friends i decided to go squat raves with are now joined by all the other pricks, jerks, eetc that i used to know. although many of them are not jerks or pricks, almost 99% of them i like and are nice, i just dont really wanna see those people i know from other places..
Most people thing i stopped doing this and that and when they come here they can see!
it succkss man, and when me and my other mate who hide things to wants to get really buzzed and lay on the floor and get poked by randomers now get poked by people we know who take pictures and pput it all over FB. which i know gets on some of your nerves out there in this scene!

you should see it as a good thing! hardly any of my friends ever want to go to squat parties 🙁 would be fun if I knew loads of people who wanted to go more often. although the picture thing would annoy me.

just get over it and enjoy the party –
you only have control over yourself – dont talk to them or get in any pictures!

I can see justanotherdarren’s POV though. Exactly the same happened outside London and the end result was loads of townie kids who just wanted to cane drugs and party (and also fight and rob one another) without any authority standing over them or any desire to have even a little sense of responsibility latched onto the rave scene… This actually drove out a lot of the more clued up folk even of their own age group and left behind a lot of the pond scum – especially as most provincial crews didn’t (and still don’t) want to deal with the “heavy” stuff like security issues, nor did they have the courage to challenge their own peers excessive drug use – especially when its a smaller group and everyone inclduding rigs is co-dependent on the drugs revenue!
The end result of this was that more negative incidents happened at raves (overdoses, injuries, fights, fires, venues getting vandalised) and within a year my entire region went zero tolerance.. anyone what tries to hold a party just ends up losing their rig..
OK this might be slightly more difficult in London or other similar cities due to the very high crime level keeping the cops more busy with other issues, but the Met do now seem to be clamping down a bit more on raves..

- social network made raves more popular
- more folk went there for wrong reasons and did the wrong things at them
- raves got locked off big time.
I don’t like making things too simplified as its disrespectful to my good friends what lost thousands of pounds of equipment, and in some cases even their liberty, and a fair bit of their physical and mental health chasing some fucked up dreams but its important this message gets through to the next generations..
