September 25, 2007 at 10:29 pm #1120251yeah haha
you ask a question. i go to the trouble of giving a detailed answer. you say, “i already knew that, i wanted something else”
i used to work for a guy who would get all uptight and say “don’t do what i tell you to do, do what i want you to do”
it was irritating… although we all laughed at him for being an idiot (behind his back)

September 26, 2007 at 9:34 pm #1120309any1 care to share some pictures of their home-picked mushies? i don’t like all the stories keep coming up of ‘oh theres these mushies that are identical to liberty caps but they can kill ya’ :hopeless:
i live in quite a vast forest/farm land area so i dont think places to look are goin 2 b limited! i tried to go mushroom picking this time last year but i only found what looked like liberty caps, but they were growing in a very damp, soily area under trees, plenty of leaves and don’t think they got alot of light……..so it was probably doubtful that they were mushies.

October 8, 2007 at 10:40 pm #1120305Possibly a stupid question but I’ll ask anyway….
If you have successfully collected some mushrooms, would it be worthwhile flicking them over your own garden in the hope that you might spread spores and be able to have a harvest right on your doorstep next year?

in the wild this is what happens, obviously with another force acting as you whether it be an animal, the wind or a walker with his dog. i guess it could be done. my guess is it would turn out unsuccessful, out of the many spores, few go on to become a mushroom due to the conditions of which it lands.
thatd be my guess, maybe theres guys on here with a better answer than that 🙂
