just tried to direct bf over the phone on how to get to the postoffice (he was in town) I was looking at the map on the postoffice website and gave directions. So he followed all the right streets etc…….and he ended up at a postbox! duh :you_crazy
yeah i think they have maps for there post boxes too! Wrong map???
i dunno, my head not working properly today, was sure it was for the postoffice, think the walk through directions direct you to a post box though. Bizarre
because lots of stuff is done by call centres or on line these days (other than posting letters of course) lots of Post Offices have closed or been shifted to new locations
I don’t know the North very well but Wikipedia claims that Sheffield’s head Post Office is actually now within the Co-Op on Angel Street – the original building having been closed in 1999…. but the post office website says “Abbey Lane” :you_crazy
was it on eccy rd? They closed down a post office there recently n left the post box standing! Confused me too! sh x
no. was the directions for the post office on surrey st in town, the walk through directions on the website led you to a post box near the town hall, not sure if there was a post office there at some point.
There has been a lot of post offices closed though….
