i did, but my mother(a nurse) said that its a different type of mumps, she used a medical term but i cant rmemeber what it was. think she was basically saying that the virus has evolved a bit and now the vaccine doesnt protect u from it or somethin

ah ok, I know some people arnt too keen on having it as reported links to ? autism I think so was jus wondering,
but I guess like everything else they can and do evolve

however the origin of how vacines was ‘discovered’ is not the most ethical by todays standards :laugh_at: he just infected his wife and kids and when he ran out of people to test he used his gardeners child or summat……

how so?

as far as i know autism isn’t a “have or have not” it’s a spectrum, in the way that everybody is somewhere on a scale, however you have to be a certain position on that scale to be considered medically “autistic”

I know, I’ve worked with autistic kids for year before, I’m not sure of the research but I’m sure this is ‘quoted as the reason the uptake of mmr jabs has declined’, as it is said to be a ‘link’ – it isnt me saying this

i’ll google and get back to you

sorry i didn’t mean that to come across as suggesting you said it or supported the theory, or putting your knowledge on question, i realise you were just quoting a reason behind something not your own opinion

the first 3 things i noticed at a glance were that:

BBC:
article is more recent (2005)
there are numerous researchers

Telegraph:
article from 2001
there is one single doctor chattin to the press, on a personal campaign
it’s the telegraph
