I dont mean to offend any Americans that use this forum, but i have decided that some Americans are morons.
A company email was sent around to everyone who uses a certain service, this is people around the world. It asked a simple question and had at the end it had the following in big letters:
*Please only reply to sender, DO NOT reply to all*
My inbox is full of my American colleagues replying to the whole fucking lot! Can they not read? or do they think i want to know this little bit of useless bit of technical info about thier computer?June 4, 2007 at 2:39 pm #1106259Which just proves they arent reading their emails properly – wonder what else has slipped away from them? :groucho:

June 4, 2007 at 2:59 pm #1106265When i was in france a couple of years ago we stayed in places where there were no tourists and relaxed, on a day trip i met two american girls and was really happy to be able to talk english so i thought i would chat to them.
When the conversation got to where they were from, it kinda went like this:
“Where about in America are you from?”
“The Untited states”
“Yeah i guessed that, what state are you from?”
“we said we are from the US”
“are you understanding my question? which American state is it that you live in?”
“I guess you dont understand my answer as i have told you”
:you_crazy
This is my typical experience with them…. :hopeless:

June 4, 2007 at 3:34 pm #1106257The sender of this eMail needs to learn :
When you send an eMail to multiple reciepients like this you dont use the ‘To’ field. You actually enter your own email in the ‘To’ field, effectivlty sending the email to yourself. Then you add all the recipients to the BCC field and none will know who else recieved it and a Reply to all only goes to the sender.

June 4, 2007 at 9:56 pm #1106266I’ve only known a few americans well, most ok but a coupla a nightmare (like everyone else) but the one thing they all had in common was they didn’t get sarcasm or irony, was totally lost on them, which they admitted, go figure
June 5, 2007 at 11:56 am #1106263thats true… apparantly the UK is a very sarcastic nation on the whole… I love a bit sarcasm.. infact I get my greatest pleasure through winding other people up
June 5, 2007 at 1:38 pm #1106258i had the same opinions until i went to america then i realised that there’s morons everywhere you go, not just in america. I met loads of sound people over there that despaired at the state of america and most americans pretty much how a lot of english people complain about the ‘towny, chav mentality’ But to be fair when i was drivin to vegas (check me out!) we met this american guy who asked where we were from? i said in england, he said ‘yeah big city right?’ i said ‘no ENGLAND its an island in europe..’ he said ‘yeah new england big city’ I said ‘NO ENGLAND, its a country in EUROPE!’ at that point he asked if id heard of jesus i said no and got in the car and did one!
