Listen up. I don’t want to be a spammer. But those of you who know mixstation.net may also know that the founder, my son, Nimai died taking GHB last year.
I’ve tried to keep the site going but really don’t have time, energy or the love of this type of music (I’m a reggae man – http://www.leggorockers.com is my site, it’s mixstation’s ‘sister’ site )
So I have decided to sell it.
I can’t just close it. It’s too big, too good and the only thing Nimai ever really left behind. It’s is legacy if you like.
I’d love to hear from anyone interested in an outright purchase (and I don’t want big money) or even to do some kind of co-ownership role and help push it on.
There’s no reason why this site couldn’t be a proper money earner. There’s loads of mixes and 6,000 members and stacks of traffic.
I’d even consider a swap for something of real value. Car, bike, hi-fi, studio gear etc.
Above all, I want to see it succeed for the sake of Nimai’s memory.
Please help me on this. Please spread the word. Thanks.
And if the mods /owners could excuse this post, or even make it a sticky, I’d be really incredibly indebted to you for ever.

thats a lot of mixes
April 18, 2009 at 7:20 am #1197091There were over twice this many. But sadly I junked a load after his death because they were taking up too much space on my server. However, they grow again at an alarming rate. Like many gigs per week!
The site still gets hundreds of visits per day and the transfer rate very high, meaning loads of mixes being downloaded every day!
But it needs some love. Hence the sale.
April 18, 2009 at 7:24 am #11970921715 files this morning!
101,57 GB of files.
5272 registered users.
5,338.36 GB of traffic.
61,869 files downloaded.

Per day or per month?
April 18, 2009 at 8:46 am #1197093Er, that’s total. Or at least since it was last reset. Not sure when that was. Probably counts back to when the last server migration happened, which was middle of last year.
But that is five and a half terabytes. That is a lot of bytes!
You would need enterprise strength bandwidth (and $$$££££) to pay for 5.5 terabytes a day, or even a month!
