The Perseids
Due 12th august . As our Planet passes through a trail left by

August 12, 2007 at 2:40 pm #1117089oh is it tonight? damn i thought it was tomorow night, me and my friends had planned to go climb a big hill in the countryside and watch it, but im on the early shift at work tomorrow morning so not sure i can deal with only an hours kip before work… gutted, i was really looking forward to seeing it from out in the middle of nowhere…

August 12, 2007 at 3:51 pm #1117087From what I’ve read the Perseids are spread over a fortnight or so (tapering off each side of the maximum). Tonight is just when Earth passes through the thickest part of the stream but there should still be a fair number tomorrow and the day after.

we were gonna go climb up around watership down with some blankets, might do it tomorrow night still then anyway, hardly any light pollution when your up there!
