unfortunately as inaccurate as the grieving mothers assesment may be, the paper seems to have picked up on most of the side effects of heavy mephedrone usage fairly accurately. Also a respected contributor here (BigAndy) of my age group with a lot of experience mentioned getting worse and worse comedowns after long term mephedrone use.
For all you know one of their journos could have got their info from reading threads on here, “free” speech always has its cost.
That said I don’t think drugs were a major factor in the young lads suicide, i suspect the loss of his uncle and other family issues (as well as the usual pressures of teenage life) were a bigger factor – but the damage has already been done. it is only a matter of time before mephedrone is classified in this country, it might be as long as 2 years but could be sooner especially when the government changes at the next election.
