ps Apparently they are selling it in certain legal high shops in the high-street too, madness.
November 30, 2009 at 7:38 pm #1183545they still sell bzp pills, they are way worse.

I wonder how quickly they will mange to ban it.
November 30, 2009 at 8:10 pm #1185141well the media has hold of it now, im sure the propoganda will help them rush through the legislation quite quickly.

tbh if large numbers of kids are getting hold of it rather than the research/free party community that’s probably a good thing.

yeah mate, its too cheap and too pure to be mainstream. kids buy it thinking its totally safe because its legal. theres kids round my way that are doing it at like 13/14 and its just not good. It needs to be banned to be honest.
November 30, 2009 at 8:21 pm #1184402Surley it being pure is only a good thing?

no necessarily – maybe if peeps are used to stuff that is cut to shit – they may not realise the need to take less?

well yeah, but not for people who are snorting like 4 grams in a night.
at least if it was glucose, kids wouldnt end up with serotonin depletion by the time their 16.

I doubt it is pure tbh but its probably more pure than street coke/speed. and its bad because if its stronger and cheaper its possible people will attempt to take similar amounts to other drugs and end up taking too much.
ps plus there’s lots of pressure especially on younger drug users to seem cool and racking up tiny lines probably isnt seen as a very manly/cool/hip/down with the kids type thing to do
November 30, 2009 at 8:29 pm #1184403People will carry on taking it whatever, or whenever they reached a desired effect, so either more shitty unknown chemicals, or less pure. It being cut will only make people take more.

People often just repeat doses until its gone, especially with methadrone as its highly tempting to redose constantly on it. But yeah there is that side of it too I am sure for the more sensible users the pureness is an advantage. Also If your just doing one phat line and assume its like cut to fuck coke it could cause problems if you do a 1/4g line or something.
Look at the problems associated with a sudden strong batch of heroin or even pills hitting the street. Deaths or hospitalisations often occur.
November 30, 2009 at 8:45 pm #1183547this thread is on day 400 today, there are 102 pages!! every 4 days a new page, pretty epic. i’m sure it’ll die next year when it’s made illegal.

All this happened in the early to mid 1990s when I was your age, its just that the Internet wasn’t as popular so both bad and good news about drugs (such as new sources or dealing connections) took longer to travel…
There are reasons why there are fuckloads of people my age with fairly serious mental and physical health problems from continued drug and alcohol abuse and sadly a lot of them were the ones what started young….
That said I don’t think mephedrone acts on serotonin as much, it is far more a stimulant than being particularly euphoric IMO.
