why do moths come out night in darkness then fly around lights? if they like light that much why dont they just come out in the day whens its bloody light! goodnight eveyone:love:

We were having a bit of a moth discussion in the chat room last night…… (that makes the chat room sound like a right barrel of laughs doesn’t it 😉 )

I’ve no idea why they don’t come out during the day actually. Maybe too many predators?

In Goa last february I lived with an Indian family in their house. It had an outside toilet and shower with a bright light outside. I was showering one night and a swarm of hundreds/thousands decended around the bulb. Quite cute and VERY harmless.:groucho: :groucho:

they are great until they are the size of your hand across – then they are just annoying…as they batter off the glass and sound like stones being thrown at the glass:groucho:

It did when the flying ants came in:weee:

My towel fell from around my waste whilst beating a hasty retreat. Good job non of the family saw me. Can you imagine when the rat snake made an appearence:groucho: :groucho:

Ah! The Indian fauna and flora. Just beautiful. Forgot to mention the plethora of frogs in the shower and lizards in my room. At least the lizards ate all the bugs:groucho: :groucho:
