FFS.
Get yourself one of those huge big lamps that turn on when they detect movement. We used to have people cutting through our garden all the time and they don’t like it when they are lit up by a million candle spotlight.
It also means you can see them and they can’t see you.
Also I would phone environmental helath to get them to clean up. Its far more obvious than you cleaning them up yourself and maybe this wil make them think of somewhere else to go, as if it is someone from that house then they are obviously trying to hide it from the rest of their family.
December 23, 2007 at 2:14 pm #1120188Bloody hell.
Are you making steps now to find a better place then?I hope your cat doesn’t stand on any needles lieing about :hopeless:
It’s the worst thing when your neighbours turn out to be dickheads.
My sympathies and good luck with finding a new home.December 23, 2007 at 2:14 pm #1140949Bloody hell.

however we have a choice of 5 gardens to only guess where the growing number of ever increasing in size whisky bottles we have found in our back garden are comming from…… maybe its a way in which to get them recycled?

I’ll be wiring them in tomorrow. One pointing down the yard to the back gate and one pointing at my back door. Covering all bases like!

Although I can’t be arsed to ring him every time I find some as he usually doesn’t come on the day you ring.
Raj: Good idea about the magnetic thing. I don’t really mind picking them up though as long as I clean up afterwards.

We kind of got the wheels in motion. I went through the process of looking and getting estate agents round etc. Problem is that on paper my finances seem to be fine to afford a higher mortgage rate, but in practice my money stays exactly where it is each month and I don’t really spend that much on going out and luxury stuff to be honest. So getting a bigger mortgage would mean it would start to eat away at my overdraft in a bad way.

December 24, 2007 at 11:28 am #1120161This situation is crap, I feel for you as I too had horrible neighbours that moved in directly opposite my house. I knew some of the men as we had had previous run in’s regarding one of my ex’s! At the time I was a single female living with my two dogs in my own house which was a happy place till everytime I came home they would shout abuse either from inside the house or in the street. The final straw came when they set their dogs onto myself and my two boys, luckily one of my dogs stood his ground and chased them off… I was amazed my dogs are just too cuddly to be ferocious! Afterwards I went round my neighbours to be told how everyone elses feelings of them and explained my situation. Then I left to stay with friends for a few days as my stress levels were too high… I had went to physically attack the ringleader, which is not like me at all!! Upon my arrival my neighbours appeared at my door stating that the landlord had came and removed the nuisance tenants the day prior. The neighbours had all phoned the landlord and he had to react as it was his legal responsibility if his tenants were acting unsociably?! (not sure of spelling). Hope this is of some help.

December 26, 2007 at 4:02 pm #1120165me and my g/f moved into this nice house(we’re renting). Its a semi detached house. The woman next to us is a raging alcholic. not a peep out of her when shes sober, but when shes had a drink shell be sitting in her front room shouting wankers thru the wall to me and my misses, then she go up stairs and do the same just in case, we’ve gone up there. Also her dog shits all over my garden and the other neighbours clear it up for her. This dog also barks constantly. Now im not a grass and i cant honestly say that ive never been a noisy neighbour in the past so i feel reluctant to call environmental health. The other night she was getting worse and directing towards my g/f. I managed to keep my cool. but im almost at the point were im going to brick her windows kill the dog and batter the old bitch, which really is not like me and i know this would obviously land me in the shit, which i cant afford to do cause ive had other run in’s with the law. Ive spoke to my land lady who’s gonna draft up a letter, but i cant see this doing any good. ive also thought about going round and trying to reason with her, but you cant reason with an alcholic. ive also thought about trying to go round getting her to hit me then press charges. I know this is below the belt and i hate the cops.
I am at my wits end and our contact is for another 6mnths. I will do something i regret if this doesnt stop.
has anybody got any ideas please.

cheers for the advice. i really hate moving tho. but its weighing up the pros of living in that house for the next 6mnths (which is a really nice house) and the cons of moving. New year soon and its gonna be a fucking loud house party so that’ll give her something to shout about. This is what i hate tho, being brought down to her level and acting all childish. Why cant we all just get on man:group_hug (what a fucking hippy!) Hopefully she’ll have topped herself as she’s been on her own all xmas (i sort of didnt mean that:you_crazy) The annoying thing is she hasnt got the bottle to come round and say anything, even in the street she keeps her gob shut, its just when she gets in her house. Its sort of like road rage mentality.
My friend came up with a good one just laugh at her everytime she shouts something, but again thats not really sorting the problem and probably going to add to it. It does sound pathetic, but when someone is constantly shouting shit thru the wall it does start to get you down and really wind me up. Ive only moved to this city 1 1/2 years ago. if i was back in birmingham id have had someone go and have a word with her. im just at a loss. lets hope the xmas spirit may have got to her:hopeless::crazy_dizDecember 27, 2007 at 12:54 pm #1140927Tank Girl wrote:sorry to hear this, its a nightmare :love:This is what happened to my friends, she (the piss head neighbour) battered him, got nicked (think I’ve written this already) went to court and solved nothing, they had to move in the end…..
