:crazy_dru The most unfair thing about life is the way it ends. I mean, life is tough. It takes up a lot of your time and what do you get at the end of it? “Death”
What’s that, a bonus? I think the life cycle is all backwards. You should die first, you know, start out dead, get it out of the way.
You wake up in an old age home, feeling better every day.
You get kicked out for being too healthy, go collect your pension, then, when you start work, you get a gold watch on your first day.
You work 40 years until you’re young enough to enjoy your retirement.
Then you drink like a fish, party your ass off, and make love to anything that moves — you’ve only got a few years left, so why not!
Then you get ready for Secondary School/College/University..
You go to primary school, you become a kid, you play, you have no responsibilities.
You become a baby.
Then, you spend your last 9 months floating peacefully with luxuries like central heating, spa, room service on tap, Guiness quarters everyday, and then…
You finish off as a quickie!! The most unfair thing about life is the way it ends. I mean, life is tough. It takes up a lot of your time and what do you get at the end of it? “Death”

Life is too short not too 😉 and living in the moment does away with the fear of dying as you are far too busy enjoying the present to worry about tomorrow raaa

April 17, 2007 at 12:16 am #1103001When you have faced death a few times, you realise it’s actually pretty peaceful. It’s living to your potential and leaving a positive light which is the tricky bit. You are never alone in this world, when things get tough, realise people have been there and are there with you, and if you can break on through to a better place with a smile on your face you will shine a light so people can follow …

April 20, 2007 at 8:17 am #1103006Without death, life would have no meaning – we need the opposite in order to be able to have some definition.
The universe is perculiar that way – or otherwise people are peculiar beasts. All things must have an opposite in order to give them shape and in a sense make them “real” to us – in it’s most simple form, without the concept of light there wouldn’t be any darkness, as the term would have no meaning or context (the light needs some darkness to be light in)… This is true in most things (warmth/cold, joy/sadness, good/bad etc.)
Trouble with life these days is too many people are fixated on the dying part, and forget to do the living bit (even to the point of blowing themselves up because they believe they will get a reward in some heaven or other).
My apologies if I offend those of strong religious belief here, but I have yet to find someone with a satisfactory (and non cynical) explanation of why many religious doctrines see life as some sort of mad prelude to the good bit that comes after you’re dead – as long as you’ve been good (read: “towed the line”) :you_crazy:you_crazy:you_crazy – and that stuff about being damned if you end it too early, and not getting to the promised lard or whatever…:crazy::crazy: :you_crazy:you_crazy:you_crazy.
Here’s news folks: This is the good bit. If you want heaven – look around you. And yes, that means the bits that aren’t nice at the time too – they are a necessary part of enabling you to experience the wholly inexplicable and thoroughly marvellous universe you inhabit.
And here is some more news: This heaven concept, where everything is perfect, and you live happy for eternity – it isn’t going to work out I’m afraid. Because when you lose the concept of being sad, happy no longer exists either.
So the most unfair thing about life – isn’t death. It’s the nonsense that has been invented by the human race that tries to convince you the life you have isn’t the most exciting, spectacular and fantastic ride in existence. The stuff that tries to convince you (and often succeeds) that there is something better, and leaves you thinking living is some sort of chore….
Just my tuppence worth…:bounce_fl:bounce_fl:bounce_fl:bounce_fl
