i’m sure she’ll be alrite mate. from my experience (albeit limited) the violence is relatively easy to avoid, it tends to be between those who want to fight.

August 25, 2009 at 10:11 pm #1205284August 25, 2009 at 10:15 pm #1205265fucks sake
do you go to footy?
i seen some kickin off, its proper not nice, especially when i was lookin after my very young cousins. it was a culture that should have been long left behind.
this kinda thing was happenin early 90’s though:
YouTube – Hooligans – West Ham vs Millwallsame teams, same scale. surely the police could have done better?
i know up here, when Leeds and Millwall play (probably a game full of more potential trouble than West Ham and Millwall, based on the massive elements of violence from Millwall and Leeds) it was the biggest police operation in years and years but they stopped it kicking off
just heard on news, worse football violence seen in 30 years 🙁
4 pitch invasions
August 25, 2009 at 10:16 pm #1205266they all knew where to meet each other. police saying it was organised violence and a step-back to the dark days of football
August 25, 2009 at 10:19 pm #1205275na i been footy once in my life when i was like 6 or something .. westham vs totenham
i used to suport totenham back then and my family west ham .. i went with my dad and cosin and sat in the westham part as the elders obv chose .. i didn’t mind as i got to watch the match … when totenham scored i was well happy .. jumpped up and cheered .. then to my suprise my dad grabed me and put his hand firmly over my mouth in fear of his life (imagin getting beat up by your own team lol)… god kids are so nieve lol
August 25, 2009 at 10:26 pm #1205267yeah i can understand why, still i dont think they’d beat up a kid! i dunno though, some proper cunts involved
that video up there is just in the ground, the worst trouble was outside the ground, they reckon its under control now though
sometimes i’ve felt ashamed to be a football fan. grimsby have their hooligan element and it is quite a large percentage (s’all about social problems in the area tbh). seen it kick off a couple of times, nuttin like this though
im sure this season living in leeds i’ll have to avoid the millwall games though.

yeah the real danger was them thinking my dad and cosin were totenham fans …

yeah they need to make a documentary of the lives of the people who got fucked up badly from all the violance .. you hear about when it happens .. but to really make people think twice .. they need to be exposed to the results of there actions .. and as punishment for doing it .. for instance .. if they stabbed someone .. they should be made to nurce someone with a simila wound as part of there rehabilitation .. so they can actualy see up close what they are doing .. that has to get throgth to at least some of them ..
August 27, 2009 at 2:37 pm #1205258football has always been an agressive game, both on and off the pitch – with supporters the only reason it has been calmer in recent times was due to a better economy, and stuff like the rave scene diverting peoples attentions away from fighting.
this is just part of a return to lots of bad things what happened in the 1980s..
the millwall v west ham rivalry originates from competition for work at the docks during a recession and Millwall being strike breakers and predates professional football. The current location of Millwall is the other side of the river to where Millwall actually is!
