I forgot the African ones who use Télécom Sénégal (in spite of having to type ‘é’ 4 times) (it is part of Orange/France Télécom). I sent a lady from the radio station a email in reasonable French (it is her native language) to confirm her show was streaming in good quality as people outside our FM range wanted to listen (the show itself is a mixture of various European music and much the music is in French, which is popular with other foreign communities in our town and saves doing 10 other shows in everyones language).

My French is OK because I had to speak and write it for various engineers at Alcatel, Thomson, Globecast when things all went tits up. and they would actually cry when this happened more than the girls do and I had to reassure them that all was OK.

Do not for get the ones from Ghana, Nigeria and Cameroon that have great offers on sale in change of your visa details….often dogs, drugs and DJ equipment…

I have been banned for life. Happened about six months ago now, there I was minding my own business replying to spammy threads, then bam!! “You have been permaban” Turned out one of the mod squad had thought I was the spamtastic spammer and wiped me from the server, not a trace of loggy mc logs left. I had about two-thousand posts (I know its not allot by some peoples standards) that I had been posting since 2005. Fond memorys from when I was a somebody on the free party scene. Sometimes you can see where someone is replying to a post that doesn’t exsit or if I have been quoted you can still see my shadow.

Anyway long story short, the mods and admin had a massive meeting about what to do about me and they discovered that they could bring me back from the dead by doing a system restore of some sort, but they would loose about 4/5GB of music that had been uploaded prior to my ban. So they weighed up the odds and decided that the music was more important than poor old loggy and I was kicked to the curb and door slammed in my face.

To this day I stand here in the same spot the left me, naked, with no identity as warning to other users to not reply to spammy “wanna fuck” threads. Actually I thing it was one of the “I live in india, want some ketamine” threads but you get the piccture. I urge you to use the report button rather than be tempted to spam bait them.

Nah in all seriousness although I didn’t get restored it was my own fault for being banned (by human error) I hold no grudges and am thankful that they at least restored the account even though my posts were set to zero I still have my 7 year old account. No grudges, life moves on.
