KindBanana, This site was firstly made for the underground rave scene in the UK 15 years ago. Since then we have started to cover all manor of subjects firstly most closely relating to raves such as music, lifestyles of ravers and drugs etc. Then as the years have moved on the site has broadened its topic base (although we’ve always been able to talk about almost anything here, there’s been more of a demand for less rave orientated conversation).

We now have sex forums and even a biking forum (I suspect that was GL’s doing :wink:), so we attract a wide variety of people here. The thing is though the main core of users are all pretty much ravers/ex-ravers and most actually know each other in real life. There are many more people on here from Australia to USA who are here for different reasons, and all are welcome. The regulars mainly like to have a joke and a laugh here, and to some people it might come across as brash, but no harm is meant, it’s just different people have different senses of humor. If, like in your case, you aren’t feeling to good and something bad has happened to you recently and you walk into a room full of people who are just having a joke, then ofc it can seam like they are being mean, but it’s really only meant as banter. However, people still should be at least little compassionate as it’s clear you are having a rough time atm.
