November 16, 2007 at 9:41 pm #1124766Whilst I don’t trust the Sun as a primary source, their take on the case mentioned two other men who had been charged for similar “crimes”, albeit having carried them out in more public surroundings. Both were in Scotland.
I’ve never heard of the charge “sexually aggravated breach of the peace” before and I read (usuallly English) crime news every day. Is this some kind of fairly new Scottish law?
That said I think like Lance Armstrong once said “its not about the bike”, and I am surprised there has not been more concern over the privacy issues involved here.. unless the majority of normal people in Scotland genuinely feel that hostel inhabitants don’t deserve privacy..
Apparently he’s already been hounded out of his new places by neds – just shows the power of the media…

Is this not a little harsh he was doing it in the privacy of his own house behind a locked door. Surely you can do what you want in the privacy of your own house so long as your not hurting anyone?

Has the bicycle in question been taken into protective custody, asked one?
Other contributors wanted to know if he had been banned from bike sheds in his hometown of Ayr, whether the bicycle in question was over 16 years old, and exactly what sex with a bicycle involves.
