i’ve been on this site a while but i’m only just realising that a lot of peeps seem to be fucked up (and not in the getting mashed sense). call me crass but i think a lot(not all obv) of it is inside yer heads.

it’s maybe cos i’m older and we never had the (debatable) access to the info that is there now, but i get the vibe that it is easier to look up symptons and decide you have it. whatever it may be.

i don’t wanna sound like an old fogey but in the bestest intentions……..as the Australians would say……..”Harden the fuck up!”

Harsh? maybe I am? but it’s the way i feel after reading a few threads recently.

Youz are young. Enjoy it. and if you are genuinely sick, be that mind or body, then still fuckin enjoy it. yer only here the ONCE.

grab life and stop mithering about what you may or may not have. Cos 9 times outa 10 you aint got what you think you got.

Cant say I have noticed a disproportionate number of people who think they are ‘fucked up’ but are incorrect and its just psychosomatic.

My mate is hillareous for this always looking up symptoms on tinternet – he decided he had gout the other day as his toe hurt :laugh_at::laugh_at:

but I think he does it for pure amusement really as he is a nurse and doesnt need tinternet, and generally makes us all laugh alot when he goes on about his potential diagnosis!! :weee:

people used to do this in the 90s with medical books, I know some dude what would read one on a speed comedown and by monday he was convinced he had everything wrong with him what could go wrong..

also perhaps because of my ethnicity (Asian – mixed Malaysian/Fillipino ancestry) and where I work, even spangled people at raves seem to always want to explain their medical problems to me, in spite of me making it clear to them I only fix the phones and computers, not the people…
