from BBC news. Due to increasing development and deforestation, monkeys are now common in urban areas. They are have been protected species from ancient times because of culture and religion, so often get away with all sorts of “monkey business”; although their numbers have now reached a point where they are seen as a nuisance in the city, the rural areas don’t want any more as they have plenty of their own, but Indian law forbids the live export of monkeys (fair enough I suppose as this isn’t very good for them)

Meanwhile, they are making a monkey out of India’s bureaucrats 😉

      Quote:

The monkeys who have moved into residential areas and official enclaves due to Delhi’s shrinking forests, are said to have become a ‘security threat’.

Last year, the ministry of defence found some of its top secret documents scattered all over the place one morning.

It was blamed on the many rhesus monkeys which flock around the colonial-era building.

The prime minister’s office, which is situated in the same block, is also within reach.

A cabinet minister couldn’t enter his official bungalow for months because the monkeys wouldn’t let any body enter the house.

send em over here, thats what i say…let the foxes and monkeys fight it out…

i’d love to have a monkey, i’d teach him to skin up and get beer and rizla

on the subjet of wild animals…i’ve seen two badgers on the road dead recently, it breaks my heart, they’re fucking ruud. i saw some programme where they sent a cam down the set and stuff, and you saw the little badgers all playing and learning, it was amazing, even distracted me from how annoying bill oddie is!

        so drive safe.
