      Hello all !!
      Second post on here… I’m 36 *gasp* still into partying and like various dance & ‘other’ music.
      Was really into progressive (aggresive, depressive ?? !! 😉 ) house but have been really geting into the breaks stuff that’s coming through.
      My girlfriend (fiance) & our friends & I all swing poi & fire poi (those glowy things people can be seen twirling at all good underground parties !!
      Be good to hear from other ‘poi-ers’ who may post here.
      I’ve been into mixing for a few years now & have yet to get my own decks – I have good friends who understand my need to ‘borrow’ their equipment for a practise – could really do with learning to scratch now as well.
      Anyhow drop us a line…

        Hello there Dave.

        Thanks for the introduction and welcome to partyvibe. Breaks seems to be attracting more and more people just lately. Me, i’m in to everything but predominntly techno. Been partying for 10 years and still haven’t lost the drive for it. I tried Poi-ing <?? with the swinging chain ones. I gave up pretty quickly after coming close to knocking myself out and smashing my front teeth up too many times. Its suprising how heavy they are.

        Where abouts are you from?

          Hello,

          I’m from Southend-on-sea (as are the local poi posse that we have formed)
          I have a lot of respect for techno – SO much more inventive than …say… hard house (dum dum dum etc ad naseum !! 😉 ) …
          We even poi – ed at the local football ground last year (though not with fire !!)
          I’ll try to post on here more regularly..

            Hmm… in between there was some other stuff I typed but it dissapeard due to a stray “<" which must have caused some board code to edit it out. Anyway, it was supposed to read:
