beleive it or not i’m usually chilled out, but sj just gets me so wound up i’ve had to wean myself off the chat forum…it’s bad for the soul!
glad to have you about, dude, i know what you mean about the low traffic flow here, but imo thats a good thing, i mean if you took all the actually usefull threads from sj then it wouldn’t be much busier than here!

You’ll find that most the people here are part of Sj too. But I think both forums provide different things (as well as offering the same). Which is wicked in my book. I love both equally as much, although SJ suffers from an excess of idiots and bitter/angry people. Shame because there are some safe as fuck people on there.
February 15, 2005 at 10:16 pm #1064113One difference with PV is our users are spread out worldwide – many may lurk rather than post because English is not their first language and it takes a long time to compose a message.
Ffor instance translating French content takes me up to 1/2 an hour and possibly up to an hour to post in French depending on length, and even then I think I have fucked up somewhere in the translation..
others appear to be in occupations where they may be able to snatch a few minutes of the lunch hour checking the calendar and perhaps reading a few articles but just do not have the spare time to post anything..
also SJ is blocked in many offices (unsurprisingly TBH!) – and since that happened where I work I simply no longer have time to find the good stuff (there is some) amongst all the trolls, and I can speak to all my friends on there at parties or in real life anyway…

A. techno snobs saying how gay hardstyle is (which is pushing the scene apart when were ment to be united)
B. threads about how much k people can fit up their noses
C. london Vs Bumpkin threads (which is pushing the scene apart when were ment to be united)
and a load of mindless junk. but i like the site, good to meet people and you do get the occasional good thread.
PV seams to be more of a useful place. i like your party guides ect ect.
we have our own forum, rather humble but we have the best smilies ive seen.
feel free to drop a post.

the only thing that sucks IMO about people being separated by distance and national borders we can’t all get on planes and go to huge parties in each others countries because of costs, time and politics (for instance I won’t get let into the USA because I was a naughty boy when I was younger and can’t get a visa!)
but we can still share our thoughts, plans and stories wherever we are in the world!
I’m sure though someone else from here is from Conneticut. I’ve been trying to encourage the US promoters to put their state abbreviations on the calendar and in the parties section so you might be able to use the search function to find a rave in your area…

and PV is so far uneffected bu trolling, which is the way i hope it stays. PV i see as a factual place to get usefull information.
SJ is a place for gosiping (juice) and messing about. the only thing SJ has that PV doesnt is a chat room and music for sale section.
