August 1, 2008 at 4:47 pm #1177070yeah it’s was awesome … very bumpy tho .. could really feel the wind and the slightest gust would make the plain shake violently and suddenly go off cource and i would have to correct the flight path .. was scary but in a good way ..:weee:
August 1, 2008 at 4:58 pm #1177080And you didn’t invite me? Pfft. But glad ya had fun! Looks proper good!
Pshh, tisn’t your birthday for another 4days yet though! Shocking. :laugh_at:
August 1, 2008 at 4:59 pm #1177067Oh no man, You flying a plane means death for us all. lol!
Only joking mate! That looks fucking wicked! What weapons did you have on board? :weee:
August 1, 2008 at 5:02 pm #1177081i thought you needed a pilots license to fly particularly for take off.
i went flying with my dad a few years ago and like you say these little planes get blown about…was quite relived to get back onto firm land:scared:

well there was a pilot in the plane with me .. and he just talked me through it all but i had controll .. he was holding the stick for take off incase he needed to make and ajustments but i followed what he told me to do and didn’t have to make any .. and when in the air he wasn’t even holding the controlls for a good few minits .. then when turning around he was just holding the controlls just incase he need to make any ajustments again but didn’t have to again :weee: ..it was a trial lesson so i could do all that stuff as you need to learn it b4 you can do it solo you have to have flowen a plain b4 you get you “wings” (solo lisence) for 35 hours with a pilot present and 10 hours solo … but as he was there i could fly it practialy on my own .. he was just there to make sure i was doing it correct .. i could do certain things like land and taxi for very long as that takes more skill than the rest of the stuff ..(in the last pic with me in the pilot is taking the pic and i am flying the plain solo …. thats why it looks like i had just passed some thing warm in my pants >.<)
and cliff i had v2 bombs :weee:
August 1, 2008 at 5:17 pm #1177082Glad you had a good un. Despite myself being a scaredy cat it was an amazing experience being up there and completely different from commercial flying.
My dad’s got a four seater now that he bought in a syndicate with 15 others (which makes it affordable) so i hope to get back up there..not sure how he took my request for a parachute though :laugh_at:

Did the pilot do the old ‘ Oh no I’m having a heart attack routine’ ?

haha yeah tbh i was really suprised at how much i actualy got to do hands on wise as it was my first time in a plain .. but hey i am not complaining as who knows when i would of next got the chance .. when he first said to me you cot total controll of the plain now i was like uh wtf you joking .. but he wasn’t lol was really scared at first but after a while i got used to the feel of it and was enjoing it alot :weee:
i not sure if i gonna go through with sky diving now tho .. i was only at 2200 feet in this plain and didn’t fancy having to jump out of it .. let alone tring that at 10000 like my planed jump will be … 😥

Only parachuting i’ll do voluntarily is behind a speedboat then all you do is fall into water..saying that i was in west wales last weekend and the sea was full of jellyfish..ugh

August 1, 2008 at 7:20 pm #1177076Ah cool thats such a cool present. I would love to do something like that. Do you fancy doing it again?
August 1, 2008 at 7:24 pm #1177064Fair play.. TBH I think its only a matter of money rather than it being difficult to get a pilots license, and its not that dangerous either.. From looking at AAIB reports most prangs of light aicraft in Britain appear to be due to old men my grandads age whose eyesight and reactions are slowing trying to be Biggles….
August 1, 2008 at 9:09 pm #1177074yeah i would love to do it agian .. but to get your “wings” (pilot licence) you will need to fork out a total of about 6 grand … so not really plausable for me .. but i might have another wee go at some point as it was an awesome experiance :weee:
August 2, 2008 at 12:48 am #1177078That looks rete good! Didnt even know you could do shit like this. If I can I Might have to try it at some point!
