you can get by in English as everyone speaks it pretty well. Flemish is same as dutch when written, but sounds strange till you get used to it. I spent a few years in Antwerp, It’s a really cool place to be you will love it. you dont get many free parties in Belgium but there are loads of clubs

but well ghent has a pretty great student atmosphere, and where there’s students there’s at least teh boose!
it also even helps when cops/govt/journos read this site, as it shows that not everyone ends up addicted to drugs or doing crime (in fact this is far less prevalent today than it was in the 90s)
most people have a distorted view of drugs. 😐

I think it was something obscure and complicated to do with digital telecommunications where Ghent university was mentioned in some book I was reading….
