thanks to me and a mate, some old boy got arrested and had his k taken, and missed a job interview (which he was gonna miss ne way but thats beside the point)
i gave him a lift home, but the stupid fucker ( who i dont know that well ) fell into a k hole as he got out of my car. we where on his road but me and my mate didnt know where he lived, and couldnt get ne thing out of him. so we sat there for 45 mins waiting for him to come around. it got to about 2.30 and he started to come too, but couldnt move or talk still, so me and my mate covered him in his chef whites and a jumper to make sure he didnt freeze, put him in the recovery position, and left him there. i felt bad and kinda worried incase he was too cold.
got a txt this morning saying he’d lost his wallet and got arrested and charged for having a few grams of k on him.
i feel pretty selfish just leaving him there.

you just left him lying at the side of the road on his own? why didnt you just take him back to yours and let him sleep it off if he was being that much of a retard.. imo u shouldnt just have left on the pavment on his own.

February 4, 2008 at 12:16 am #1154384Gone are the days when mates watched each other it seems.where were this guys mates in the first place??? Probably in a K hole somewhere too.
Im going to sound old here but when I was younger and out clubbing/partying every weekend my mates always watched out for me as I did for them. It is really sad that alot of people seem to have forgotten or just can’t be fucked to do this anymore.
I am sorry mate but I could never leave someone on the pavement I would have taken him home to pass out or back to the party if it was inappropriate to take him home Im not trying to make you feel worse but I don’t agree with what you did. Its the middle of winter and near freezing temperatures could have meant a much worse out come, be glad that he is still alive and wasn’t atacked
As I say sorry to be so negative as you obviously feel bad enough alreadyFebruary 4, 2008 at 12:16 am #1211589Gone are the days when mates watched each other it seems.where were this guys mates in the first place??? Probably in a K hole somewhere too.

The guy fucked up, which happens to us all some time. We are supposes to look out for each other. I mean would you be happy in that sutuation? I have looked after strangers on drugs and they have looked after me, its a pretty big part of the ethos the party scene was born with.
Never leave a man behind, especially fucked on drugs in the street where he could have died and did get arrested. For all you know he could be a nurse or similar and lose his right to work.
Sorry to be a cunt but I believe in respect and that and even the idea of ditching someone in the street gets my blood boiling.

February 4, 2008 at 12:17 pm #1154374it just shows the difference in culture between our two countries (or North and South) or maybe how atttitudes have changed..
I can see why this happened as people probably panicked a bit and were getting tired/irritable and unfortunately down here everyone is taught to “look out for number one”, although bringing him back to a safe house would definitely be a better idea. Yes it was his fault for taking too much K, but even if you weren’t feeling particularly charitable, dumping comatose bodies in public places is bait.
how did the cops find him anyway? routine patrols aren’t that common even if you live in a fairly rough area. Did a neighbour see you dumping him and call 999 (perhaps taking down the car reg number?) Many people these days are uber-paranoid of “gangs” and would assume you had done the man over and were dumping him in the street as some sort of punishment!
Also, if he wasn’t a close friend, and he got in trouble with the feds, whats stopping him grassing on you lot in order to “bargain down” any charges he may be facing? (or being encouraged by TVP to do so and they are devious bastards in that respect!)
Unfortunately though a lot of friendships are less solid these days., TBH I think in many cases friendship has been replaced by “networking” in the commercial/business sense where people hang around with each other only because of what they can offer or have..
