well im working tuesday i get double pay and a extra days holiday for it so cant complain oh and its by choice i could of had it off if i wanted

dont give a fuck mate dont mean to be a ass but she has never done anythink that has benefitted me personally

Hmmm… while I do not like politicians I do have a certain sympathy for the Queen and the Royal Family. Both her and Phil “The Greek” Battenberg do have VERY impressive war service records which of course they never boast about (being English).

Also, I got something they don’t have. It’s called freedom of action.

I wouldn’t want her job. Or her husbands. OK, in theory they got plenty of money and plenty of land and plenty of things to do – but they got an awful lot of people really looking up to them.

So, people want to party… it’s not like Jubilees (old Jewish “Free the Slaves” day) are really bad. Just a bit awkward. Bit square. Well, square people are allowed to party to.

BTW there is no way this can be acceptable – half arsed cheapskate security procedures risk endangering the safety of everyone from the royals to the wider public, and threats don’t just come from “foreigners” as the Dutch found out to their cost in 2009…

we can’t blame the Queen for this (I doubt she would be too impressed) – it is as much we the people who are to blame, especially after free and fair elections in a country with free speech there is still a consensus that more punitive regimes should be used against benefit claimants.

Even many left wing people say this, I’ve heard complaints about the welfare system from a prominent Green party activist in my town (though to be fair he would also have looked for a more positive solution). but without the full picture being looked at and the willingness to at least provide a basic standard of decent welfare, things like this are the result….

20 years ago they tried their best to stop the homeless from having to kip there… TBH what annoys me far more isn’t even stuff like royalty or patriotism (though some concepts are outdated not all of it is a bad thing) but what could be made into a lot more positive occasion seems to end up dividing people.

police helicopter been out at least twice over my estate following crimes of violence, folk have been attacked during the “celebrations” for stupid reasons. And all the EA raves got busted hard – can’t blame the queen for that either or even the cops as they were called there by locals grassing up the raves (the surveillance is more to get evidence on organisers for Court cases rather than forward intelligence)
