Lay it on me folks. I have decided to give this genre a go, I am growing slightly bored with everything else and this is a genre i’ve rarely explored so all you House fans hook a brother up please!
Any decent albums out there i can sink me teeth into? (not literally though cos i doubt the cds will play if i try to eat them, safe tingz)

Alrite Cliffy, have been listening to alot of Deep Dish recently. Lots of their stuff is abit subtle and needs a few listens before it really grows on you, but man these guys do some seriously decent house. I recommend:
Yoshiesque 1
Yoshiesque 2 (in some ways more accessable)
GU Toronto set (just fkcuing ace, simple as)
GU Moscow setHave to say though did not like their Renaissance set.

March 7, 2010 at 5:36 pm #1222196All about the fidget house, the nastier kind where they stole the basslines from dark drum & bass, put it in a 4×4 jacket and added some vocal samples to it

Wotcha,
Bang into house round our gaff. My husband (gonna just call him Jonno from now as it feels spazzy keep saying husband) is fantastic dj and has been collecting vinyl for 18 years.
He has done some fantastic mixes over the years. Easily the best is one called Breakbeat Spectacular, not quite house- bit of a mash up really between housey remixes of good hip-hop and shit. It starts with an ace DMC remix of white lines, has some NWA, Silver Bullet etc. Another masterpiece is his chillout one, everyone seems to love that.
We both also love funk, northern soul and Motown. Not a big fan myself, but Jonno is into trance and has a few good mixes with some unusual KLF stuff (too much random bleeting sheep for my liking).
Perhaps if i get round to it i could send you a few cd’s?
March 11, 2010 at 12:32 pm #1222138sod house its all about the acid tekno an heavy ard trance!!!raaa
March 11, 2010 at 12:47 pm #1222208Soz should have said that the house i was on about is from 88-91 really. I guess its called old skool now, never really had that title back then. I don’t really like using it myself as it makes people think of all the chart shite that came out 92ish.
Best example i can give is to name my two fave tracks. The first being Jame Principle with Your Love. Beautifull, crazily so- makes me feel so many things i can’t always listen to it without it hurting a little.
The second is Kid and Play’s 2 Hype, the house instru mix. Jeez i swear i sometimes get great flashbacks when i hear that.
Gawd i sound too freaking old:crazy_diz
