May 19, 2011 at 10:09 am #1239187sorry to hear this – was briefly thrown out of home in 1992 when my parents disagreed with my drug use and the fact I had dropped out of uni, they took me back but it wasn’t a good time, was on the verge of doing a lot of irrational things what could have hurt a load of people in the long run and/or getting into more serious criminality (which was why they took me back).
Not a time I look back on fondly as in effect I was basically holding my own family to ransom with my behaviour but this game of brinkmanship was the only way I could see of making a stand, being younger at the time.
Sometimes I wish this small island were even smaller, if you was closer round this way I could do a lot more to help – there’s a lot of “hippy” type things I do away from this forum and one of them is linked to a housing co-op and other social enterprises.
also I’d be wary of squatting these days in your area as TVP are bang onto it because of what happened in the 1990s and 2000s with squats turning from party houses into big time class A dens with needles etc (its not that good a scene to be into nowadays..)

Been surfing the sofa’s atm, the council wheren’t overly helpful to me, but i can get a crisis loan from the job centre so i can get a place to stay for a few nights.
I keep getting this strong urge to roam around, stay one place one night and get a lift elsewhere.

Back in 1987(i was younger than you are now man) it saved my life from smack. i had no job, no prospects, no nothing.TBH i was a bum. i was on the road to heroin prison. i said “fuk it!” got myself £500 and off i went. got sacked like….after a month but hooked up with 2 English dudes (with the same frame of mind) and lived like a hobo for 5 months in the good ol’ USA. Best time of my life man.
life is an adventure buddy and it stands ya in good stead for the future.
obviously go with what your heart says but i sense a traveller in ya. the world is your oyster pal.
