I’m just back from a relaxing week’s holiday in the south of france eating nice food, enjoying the weather and tasting lots of nice wines. How is everyone and what’s been happening?
July 22, 2007 at 6:00 pm #1116621Sounds pretty nice mate. Welcome back.
I’ve got the next week off work. Not going anywhere but I’m using the time to get a lot of things done. Plus I’m playing out a couple of times this week and busy with the rig so it’ll be nice to have the daytimes free.

July 22, 2007 at 6:24 pm #1116620glad to hear you had a good one – welcome back 🙂
unfortunately the last party in the East went pear shaped.
Closed down by 70-100 riot cops, and rig confiscated. Not quite the scale of the Essex “megariot” but unpleasant nevertheless, although this sort of stand-off is not uncommon these days.
I suppose the Eastern cops were determined to make a stand after so many happening this season (when everywhere else in the country seems already locked down).

July 23, 2007 at 8:36 am #1116623Hopefully off to Bulragia in 2 weeks with my boyf and im really looking forward! Although the price of flights/accommodation etc has rocketed in the last 2 weeks due to our shite summer and the kids all being off school…. don’t get paid until Wed (& am counting down the hours!!) so can’t book anything til then!!! Really frustrating as i’m watching the prices go up and up and up and there’s nothing I can do!!
Anyone been to Bulgaria before and if so what did you think? It’s the only place I really want to go on hols, nowhere else in Europe is grabbing me and I want to go before the € comes in and it becomes really expensive!! Just can’t wait to have a whole WEEK away from my desk job and the poxie phone that doesn’t stop ringing which is slowly driving me around the bend…… :hopeless:
Would like some other peoples views of their experiences of Bulgaria.. is having a smoke OK over there…? Etc, etc…..

July 23, 2007 at 8:56 pm #1116622i’m just back from a relaxing time in sweden… it was warm and sunny.
i’ve been swimming in clean lakes, fishing, eating & drinking and even made it to a small festival.. about as close as sweden gets to a free party i think.. it was in a field leading down to a gorgeous rocky beach behind an artists house, 2 small stages with wicked live music throughout the day, reggae bands and then a fire and african drumming on the shore from midnight
just what i needed before i start my new job tomorrow :weee:
