just wundering what hobbies every one has out side of raving. wheter people have any unusally things they do wen not working ravin or getting smashed. i enjoy a good old game of rugby to release the pent up anger, tis great fun. im also into the graff scene as i like to see style/funky art on a wall rather than it being blank and dull.
sorry if this thread has already been and gone butwould be nice to no what things people are into.
peace
tom.

there is another thread like this somewhere:weee:
August 11, 2006 at 11:03 am #1085818I’m sports mad! Recently got into watching baseball and think it is a superb spectacle. Used to play footie and cricket at a good standard, so I still like watching these(less so footie). But reading a top quality novel still beats everything for me. Reading Shantaram ATM. Top read!
But I’d say the internet as taken over as my top hobby.:groucho: :groucho:Actually my biggest pastime is staying clean!

Also urban exploration, and collecting/reading random old books about ancient technology and industries and local history…
i do the odd bit of photography, video and art (both normal and digital) but just don’t seem to be able to find that much time for it nowadays…. used to do loads of party photography but its a security risk now; and nature photography requires spare time to find the right areas and wait around for the subjects..

I love my kids,reading,writing,nature..
August 11, 2006 at 10:46 pm #1085802playing with my daughter is my main ‘hobby’
also love exploring, far and wide (spent a fair bit of time travelling and living abroad) and much closer to home… i think the latter comes back to when i was a teenager and me and my mates used to pride ourselves on knowing every available ‘escape’ route… i still like to know what shortcuts there are, where-ever i am in my area
my possible new hobby may be politics(!)… i’m seriously considering running in the next local election as an independant… hope my affiliation with the partyvibe doesn’t lead to my career assassination 😉
still trying to learn how to use my nice camera
bought a mountain bike last october and started getting more adventurous with it this year
also love my little garden.. it’s the first one i ever had and i’m trying to make it beautiful
and i make my own cider… in fact i looked at an old farm house today, with a view to moving in there, that has a small apple orchard, so that could become a real labour of love :alcoholic
August 12, 2006 at 5:35 am #1085816A favorite hobbie of mine from way back was mastabation but nowadays Im just an old wanker!
August 14, 2006 at 4:50 am #1085805i have too many interests, and im pretty fickle with them too, this usually means i dont get very far in any of them, but i dont mind, it stops me from being bored. Its noce to do different things all the time, then go back to something you havnt done in a while with new skills and ideas. Heres a list of things i like to do: Mix, make music, play music, listen to music, dance to music, read, write, write poetry, make things;cards, jewellry, clothes, knitting, bead craft, gardening, conservation (volunteer in spare time) learning to live off the land, and most nature realated things.

August 14, 2006 at 6:30 pm #1085804I’m an environmental activist, which takes up 90% of my time at the moment. Though some how I find the time to make music and cram a bit of anti nuclear action….
