I had to go into town for the opticians today – it was a check up as I recently got this new type of contact lenses that are supposed to be healthier when you wear them for extended times due to “unpredictable lifestyles” :laugh_at:

according to the opticians my eyes were fine (although I had to concentrate hard to actually see the damn letters) which I am happy with but couldn’t say the same for the rest of my body!

The slit lamp test was even more torture than normal. this involves a 20w quartz-halogen lamp behind a prism being shone into your eye at close range (like accidentally looking into a robozap or similar lighting effect)

thankfully I had booked the whole day off work; I ended up sleeping in the afternoon like an old man and I am probably going to get an early night tonight :yawn:

I’m a copywriter, which has its ups and downs…still not sure how I feel about helping multinationals improve their bottom line, much prefer design-based copy rather than commercial stuff, but, gotta pay the bills.
Seems like today’s off to a better start though – had a thumper of a shorebreak session at my favourite beach at 5 this morning, so that’s got me all Zen and mellow, which I’ll need seeing as it’s gonna be another biyatch of a day, and I have my learner’s driving license tomorrow a.m.
Third time lucky. I hope.

Yeah i have gone past the point of proving i am brave(stupid) by riding in anyweather!
also my mate works outside as a painter so i am sure he will have the day off, so think we will go flying rc planes for the day, as snow would keep em in one piece after a crash :laugh_at:

Raj you will have to post some pics if it does snow and ya get some good ones…..
