June 24, 2012 at 9:01 am #1053332I was saying to my friend that I think it is the best sounding rig I have ever heard. Better than the Valve soundsystem in terms of clarity

:bounce_fl:bounce_fl:bounce_fl:bounce_flJune 24, 2012 at 9:47 am #1255332They look wicked, proper funky design. They look as if there proper high quality units.
June 24, 2012 at 10:11 am #1255327Indeed they are brother, they were a high tech project with turbo sound and a few others I believe here read this Innerfield Soundsystem – home
June 24, 2012 at 10:52 am #1255331I’ve heard that whole stack, it sounds AWESOME and looks fucking sweet too. It looks quite small in that pic but I probably only come up to just a little more then the top of the second bin!

This could be true, but sadly most people don’t really give a shit when they’re off their tits.

innerfield system at the begginingJune 26, 2012 at 10:41 pm #1255324It is a nice sounding system, especially since they added the Turbo Aspects.
Loving that pic cyklotimik. Any more of the old system? That was one of the first free party rigs that really made an impression on me with those B&W tubes.

There has been a few different incarnations of the Bio-Tech rig but here are a few pics. It’s not much compared the rigs these days but it was quite serious system on the free party circuit back then!
We started with a small Trace Elliot system but it was a nice little rig. <This we have seen do the rounds locally with various people and crews owning it over the last 13 years.
We then added some 18″ scoops to it which we built from the famous eminence speaker book, and some top boxes with 2″ compression drivers in, also from the eminence book. <These eventually both went to the now quite legendary Amen-Tal and have since been sold on again.
We then bought some Claire Brother HUGE full range cabs from the excellent and well used Bonza Audio that were, despite their ancient look and extreme weight (I’m amazed we didn’t seriously hurt ourselves over the years) really good speakers. They were run from C-Audio amps and really kicked it out. They were mainly what got us noticed and known on the free party circuit as a decent system I think . They were quite unique and were easy to deploy quickly provided you didn’t have to carry them far!! They are the the big square boxes in the pics. <These then went to a decent local crew who are still using them now I think, so I won't mention any names.
Then we added 4x 18″ folded IK folded horns, which were made famous by the 9bar rig which we ran off a Crest CA-18. You can see them in the forest pic under the clair brother cabs. <I think these went to Toytown or something, but I could be wrong. Then they ended up with TSS and have been sold on again since.
Then we got 4 x Court Acoustic Black Box twin 15″ W-bins which you can see at the bottom of the forest pic. (These went to one of our associated systems Bangers & Gash) They ran from 2 x QSC RMX 4050HD amps.
To try and balance all this bass out we got 2 legendary Martin Audio Phillishave cabs (see in the forest pic) which incidentally had “Spandau Ballet” written inside one of them so I assume that they were part of their touring rig at one point, although maybe I shouldn’t be admitting to that! <These went to Amen-Tal too who made much better use of them than we did so it was good they went that direction.
By this point, although it still sounded and looked quite impressive, it was a bit of a mismatch of cabs and was to be quite honest far too cumbersome to keep moving around, so for a while we just used the Claires, the IKs, the Philishaves and the two built top boxes. Then we sold it all off and put together the most recent system which is 2X Lab Subs, 8 HD15 kick bins, 2 x Martin Audio W8C all run from a BSS minidrive, FFA6000, Crest CA18 and 3 different QSC PLX amongst a load of other bits of kit.
It’s a bit more modern now and much more compact and flexible, but we still need 2 more labs and 2 more Martin W8Cs to complete it. We have hardly used it in the last few years though as suitable local venues have become few and far between and the hire side of things has almost all but dried up, so mostly it just sits in a secret lock-up gathering dust.

this isn’t uncommon – I learned over the years that Mid Suffolk, North Suffolk and South Norfolk were well known boltholes for synth pop stars in the 1980s (perhaps due to the influence of John Peel and a lot of green/hippy types in these areas) which is also why they used to be relatively tolerant areas for EDM events.
June 28, 2012 at 11:09 am #1255329WOW thanks BT. It’s nice to hear the history of a crews riggage. I hope that you get you currant system finished and hopefully one day I might have the pleasure of hearing you guys live. Even if it is a night in a club or something. Would still be great to hear your techno and breaks in full force!! (dreams)
Maybe you and your family (and your crew) could migrate down to brighton LOL that would be perfecto!! 🙂
June 28, 2012 at 6:07 pm #1255326You never know. Brighton sounds like my kinda place anyway. That or Cornwall (more family friendly)
June 28, 2012 at 6:21 pm #1255323the problem with Brighton is its got a big party scene but doesn’t seem to have much in the way of paying work for day jobs and is very much geared towards 20 something students. Been there a couple of times and know of various eco-groups based there but always wondered “what do you folk do for work there?”
I do sometimes buy ICT kit from companies in that area who have enthusiastic young staff but they don’t always seem as business focused as the older lot from Essex who also compete for the business. OTOH there is still a lot of work in EA for those prepared to do it..
June 28, 2012 at 7:09 pm #1255330Lots of work in bars!!! LOL
