Hi just saying hello as I am new here, was a raver back in the 90s but am now getting back into it . Went to a rave in Norfolk this summer that was awesome and has got me back into the mood to rave again.

November 11, 2010 at 4:29 pm #1231014November 13, 2010 at 6:44 pm #1231003welcome dude… are you on bluelight as well?
sadly there are way less raves in EA these days but its still legal to have private parties with permission of the landowners and I’ve been to a few done that way even in the harshest zero tolerance areas..
also, most of the older Suffolk crew seem to have retired / started families (can’t blame them for calming down though if there’s kids to look after..)
November 14, 2010 at 9:48 am #1231020Yes I am on bluelight same name, went to the unity tribe rave in September, was good but security was over the top. I started around 94 going to Oscar in clacton was a brilliant club used to go to pams house, ice bun, windwarp, dance paradise and some random parties.
November 14, 2010 at 9:56 am #1231021I am now 33 and like you say most of the old ravers have retired and I never get to hear about the parties until they are over. Are you allowed to pm me details of any future parties around east anglia?
November 14, 2010 at 4:21 pm #1231004if I hear about them I’ll certainly let you know though because of the zero tolerance the focus has changed to genuine private parties where people have permission to be on the land – that way no one gets nicked and everyone gets to keep their stack!
I only moved here in 2006 though just afer the clampdowns started 😥
some of the other EA veterans do lurk on here. Which bit of Suffolk are you in? (its a big place!)
November 14, 2010 at 4:32 pm #1231022Woodbridge area, I work in ipswich though.
November 14, 2010 at 4:43 pm #1231005not too far away then… most of the folk I know from that way are now into full on hippy stuff and eco-friendly living than just hedonism though (not that its a bad thing).
Mindwarp did a reunion last year, and I think some of the Area 51 lot are still active somewhere…. shame you weren’t on here from 2007 onwards as there was a fair bit more going on. The problem though is that societies changed, people are a lot angrier so even if you do have good drugs folk still end up fighting and shit and venues get locked off…
some of my hippy friends have been talking about doing various legal events. I’ve been studyign the laws etc and TBH provided the event doesn’t result in people being taken off in ambulances they can’t initially insist on loads of bouncers and dogs etc..
November 14, 2010 at 5:50 pm #1231009area51 are still active – pretty sure theyre into hire stuff, and their label at the moment… had a natter with them in their van at SX Festival.. ive got a business card somewhere lol. they had a nice dnb stack
