I have no idea. What does interest me however, is where you’ve been recently? We haven’t seen you around lately…well- I took a 8 month break from the scene & now I’m back 😀
I was booked for an event in New Jersey about 2 weeks ago, & that was the 1st time I’ve touched a pair of decks since about Feb… considering I didn’t even practice before the gig, I did quite well.. it wasn’t a big club, it was the 2nd Annual NASIOC Tri-State Meet but I had fun. 🙂

October 8, 2003 at 2:21 pm #1061490Not totally sure as i’m not that up on breakbeat. But from my opinion I love the Against the Grain label. And Killer Green records do some good stuff too (although the cain the old skool vibe a bit).
But my favourite breakbeat record (kinda techy) that I own at the moment is by a Techno producer: Ant – Bassmonger. AWESOME tune, and i’d say it has turned into a signature tune for me. When the bass drops the rig kicks into overdrive and the place shakes. Love it.
Check it out. Ant – Bassmonger (Low Rent Operator 05)
January 6, 2004 at 7:42 am #1061493I’ve heard of this Trance Breaks stuff…still looking for some records.
But I don’t know. I’m more into Trance and Hard Trance
January 8, 2004 at 1:48 pm #1061492I’ve been following the nu-skool breaks scene for a whle now, the whole breakbeat scene is really taking off recently, but I first caught this wierd mongrel mash-up of genre’s at the Star Bar @ heaven for John Digweed’s Bedrock night (1st thurs of the month), with the likes of Dj Hyper & others (who I’ve forgotten their names). Excellent music !!
Try anything by the Plump Djs (Eargasm is cool!! – their new LP) or Elite Force remixes of tunes. Meat Katie is putting out breaks stuff too. Vinyl Addiction have a good selection of breaks stuff
( http://www.vinyl-addiction.co.uk/ ).
Party on people !!!
Dave 🙂January 8, 2004 at 4:34 pm #1061491The En:vision label seems quite solid aswell. Not sure if they have been around for a while or not, but personally i’ve only just heard of them. Check them out.
January 16, 2004 at 7:04 pm #1061489As a commuter, I read Metro every weekday (distributed for free in trainstations) and one day they had a contest where you could win free duo-tickets for a Plump DJs gig in Bruges. Contended and won! Needless to say I had a blast, eargasmic boogies and lots of rhythm!
Anyone heard Precision Cuts lately?
