Nope. Considering it’s my nickname and my DJ name, there’s a damn sight more people know me as Binge than my real name!

Seemed a good idea 5 years ago……….

its gotta be better than the copper knowing your personal details tho, unless they’ve got your dj name next to your real name on a file in which case i guess it makes no difference at all..:hopeless:

The coppers unfortunately have all my personal details on file. Nice mugshot and fingerprints etc. despite the fact I wasn’t charged.

Dunno mate but it wasn’t very long ago when this happened so think it’ll still be there.

I know that all my youthful indiscretions from school age have been wiped now :laugh_at:

not if you were convicted.

pretty certain they still keep you on record anyway regardless of whether they should delete them or not. i think once they’ve got you, they’ve got you for life unfortunatly..:hopeless:

if you were just cautioned .. they used to have to destroy them after five? years (but i was told only if you request this) not sure if that law still stands .. i have a feeling it may have changed 😥

yeah if its a caution i thought it was after five years they’d delete them, pretty sure they’re never fully deleted tho.

after 5 years they delete the caution

think it’d be stupid if they deleted your fingerprint record, why would they do this? probaly caught a few dirty pedo/rapists

because having details on file for minor offences is all too totalitarian

paedophilia is used as a reason, along with terrorism, for a lot of laws which infringe upon civil liberties. these reasons (and subsequently the laws themselves) are usually backed by both authoritarian rags like the mail, and populist shit such as the sun or news of the world

lets create a storm of paranoia and fear, lock your children in their rooms and tag their school jumers

i dont think its totalitarian, dont commit minor offences and then you wont get you’re fingerprints on file. if you aint gonna do anything wrong worth fingerprinting, then why would anyone care?? id prefer assholes who do stupid stupid things to have more chance of getting caught.
