probably got the idea off the film “scum”, but your local usually gets pissed off if you nick the snooker/pool balls from the table…
I’ve got a gas fire like that in my front room, but the rocks aren’t actually removable and just conceal a normal burner arrangement and fireclay blocks.
I know the things you mean, may have been electric fires of the kind what often turn up in squat tat, fixed loads of them in the past to keep people warm, and I’d even get the light/flame effect mechanism working just for the comedy value (you could also replace it with a different odd coloured 15W bulb (like the things on outdoor christmas trees)
this thread is also becoming really confusing now as there is spark, spark_plug and *¬* who is called spark on SJ talking about sporks :crazy_dru

nah, you know the “grab n go” type salad things, well they all have forks in, cost about £2
or you can trek up the other end of the super huge tesco and to the proper salad section – same price, about 3 times as big, chicken/prawn/tuna salads etc. and better quality but no fork
so i needed to buy a fork, i bring one now
but for real, the grab n go thing is a rip off just gotta go to the main supermarket bit n better stuff is loads cheaper, and i’m skint so ya know
