that was gutted, especially as he had only been arrested about 15 hours before for a similar offence.

doesn’t matter if its “legal” or free party, all cops associate dance music > 140 bpm with drugs

Also hard dance and dnb has become linked (in the eyes of cops) with cruising/gary boy culture

you will always get CID around legal dance music events, particularly the “tango victors” or “black rats” (undercover traffic cops), they are often also on the main roads where convoys or groups of ravers are driving to a free party
