My partner and I are finally planning a holiday to Amsterdam ๐
I was wondering if anyone could recommend some good places? As I don’t want to turn up clueless and end up spending a fortune in places that aren’t very good.
We wont be into any raving, so places that play non commercial ‘softer’ music would be great (like funk, swing ect)What else is there to do besides weed cafes?
All suggestions would be appreciated. ๐

March 20, 2015 at 5:38 pm #1278815hahaha, jokes aside that does actually sound quite nice.
I quite like the hookas.March 20, 2015 at 6:40 pm #1278808NL is a relatively small country with good train / metro services; might be worth looking beyond just Amsterdam. Although as you get towards the rural areas and borders with DE outside particularly away from the the big cities the music scene becomes more based around piratenhits (that genuinely is the underground music culture in some regions though it coexists with more modern dance music.
March 20, 2015 at 8:39 pm #1278812Van gogh museum is a must, but I never managed to get there somehow, wonder why? Eh not really, but anyhow 27th of april is kings or queens day. Party all around holland and Amsterdam wont let you down in that aspect. Then you have everything from concerts, folk music and raves. And not forget all people take out their old stuff and try to sell it or hustle it into something ‘new’. All the streets are turned into a big fleemarket
