GIS = Geographical Information System (i.e a big map on a screen) – been used by govt/feds for years but in recent times google maps or local live maps has made it available to civilians
Anyway I’ve been experimenting with loading a file from a GPS set to overlay on local live maps and it unfortunately totally confirms how rinsed thetford forest and NW Norfolk were getting… it still beats me why crews didn’t spread themselves out a bit more…
ironically although the main target areas are only about 400 square miles from Thetford to some parts of NW Norfolk, also if you add a layer with the traffic flows there is literally 1000 square miles in which locals would have spotted a “rave convoy” at some point..
