ok.. so i dont know if anyone here has even heard of him, but as southampton is the closest to the iow, im going in march! booyah!

if that is the Gary Numan I think you are on about, he must be old enough to be your grandad, he was no spring chicken when I first was listening to him :laugh_at:

I quite liked his music but found him to be a bit creepy and sinister as a person. OK he was supposed to be decent in interviews but thats marketing innit? Came across as thatcho’s favourite synthpop artist.

i saw him live in ’95 and i thought that was retro

Yeah I like Gary Numan, although New Order (Joy Division – RIP Ian Curtis) are undoubtebly the kings of british synth pop!
