what’s the rules when posting pictures, is it alright to show people’s faces at an illegal event and is it alright to show the faces of the organisers or rig owners?

The notion is keep crew, banner and number plate pictures out. The rest should be fine…

not any more.

You could have got away with it until about 2004 so you might see old party pics on the gallery but since then the authorities have succesfully used photos loaded to forums to identify and prosecute people.

you may have missed this from an earlier post in this thread…

A good rule of thumb is to think “if a cop saw this photo, what else (other than there was a rave in the distant past) would it tell them?”

At the moment I would say yes but if we get a valid request from a crew or person to remove stuff that may incriminate them (we have had such requests before) we may have to do so. Try not to show people openly taking drugs in any photos (thats the only real offence TBH as its not illegal to be at an unlicensed rave until the cops say so and even today they don’t always do this!)
