Unfortunately I couldn’t go but nevermind sure been kept updated anyway..
This year they did not agree with the Govt on a venue and decided to do their own thing. Much of yesterday seems to have been spent driving around central France as each district implemented emergency order banning ‘festive musical gatherings and large trucks’. This went on until traffic blocked much of the area with a 10km convoy apparently, until this order was revoked by Govt as they wanted access and the site was established.
Been all over local French news, the local officials say 7500 people this morning, but news said 15000 and expecting upto 40,000 by tonight even though it seems very rainy. Their mayor is reportedly angry but the locals interviewed seem quite jolly saying it’s only temporary and happy for extra trade. Most reports sound positive :bounce_g:
